![]() I played a test game of Brood War with someone from Germany (I'm from the US) and it was lag-free - GR's networking for most games is seamless and actually the best part of the service. GR has ladders for many games, but they are laughably pathetic and only available to premium users. GR is free to use, but takes revenue from some ads as well as premium user subscriptions which come in $20/year and $40/year plans. It also has an international userbase Koreans actually use it to play Demigod. However, it has support for a large library of games from many studios without the big brother features of services like Xbox Live. The GR administration (its creator, Scott Kevill) makes iCCup look like Team Liquid. GameRanger isn't really a community like TL or iCCup. Subscribe And help the channel grow )Like and comment, what was your experienceLink of patch v1. ![]() GameRanger has only had PC support since November, while it has had Mac support since 1999. ![]() As far as I know, the only Blizzard game you used to be able to play through GameRanger was the Mac version of Warcraft 2 which was one of the first games supported by GR when it was released in 1999. #1 As of very recently, you can use the GameRanger online gaming service to play Diablo 2, Starcraft, Warcraft 3, DotA, and all of their expansions.
